Cafe 700 is a convenience for me, as I work across the street. That said, the food is good with generous portions. This is a working cafe with working hours, so any review citing ambiance should be ignored. You walk to the counter and order from a menu that has a lot of options, including daily specials. The closer you get to closing time, the more likely that your first option wil be sold out. That's the hazard of buying from a small business. They can't afford to let extra food go to waste. Everything is prepared to order (or at least everything I have ordered has been) but it still comes fairly quickly. If you are looking for a satisfying and quick lunch option, this is the place for you.

I come here every time I visit Portland for work. I always stop by in the morning to grab some food and coffee. I always get their breakfast burrito which is always stuffed full of protein and their iced coffee is to die for. There is a sweet little Asian lady that is always working in greeting me with a smile each time I see her. I can tell she really is passionate about her job and wants the best for her customers. I will definitely be back. Vanilla Iced coffee quad shot, splash of oat milk. See you next time sweet little lady!

1. Amazing prices 2. Fast 3. Well-Made food Cafe 700 is my favorite work lunch spot. Mainly for the prices and speed of service. I swear they have never heard of the words inflation in that cafe. The counter service is great, I really like the lady who is always working the cash register. And the food is solid and reliable. Costco must be one of their suppliers because I recognize the Costco muffins. Personally I like to order any of the salads, the turkey sandwich (it's a good sized sandwich), breakfast burritos, cheeseburger, chicken burger, teriyaki chicken, and some of my coworkers rave about the egg salad sandwich Friday special. This place makes my wallet so much happier when I go there.

This cafe is open earlier than anyone else in the area. Had a great breakfast bagel and another taken along as my mid bike ride lunch. Rode from downtown Portland to Multnomah Falls and then to Bridge of the Gods and back and my bring-along lunch was just perfect. It's not gourmet, but it is exactly what the doctor ordered. Hot, filling, delicious food, hot coffee, fast service, what's not to like? I would come here again.

The food and service are amazing here, depending on what you order you are in and out of there before 10 mins are up...at least it feels that way, I'm not timing them. In this economy I love that I can get a solid meal here for a really good deal. They have a TV playing the local news and sooo many drink options.

Cafe 700

Cafe 700 is where comfort food meets Portland's vibrant café culture. Nestled right at 700 NE Multnomah St Portland, OR 97232, this cozy gem is drawing in locals and travelers alike with its warm atmosphere, flavorful menu, and loyal following. Whether you're on your morning coffee run or settling down for a hearty brunch, Cafe 700 Portland hits the mark.

A popular Portland café that brings the neighborhood together

Just a stone’s throw from Lloyd Center, Cafe 700 isn’t your average coffee shop. It’s a place that locals rely on and visitors are pleasantly surprised by. With its laid-back vibe, wood-paneled interiors, and a mix of regulars chatting over mugs of freshly brewed coffee, the space feels like part café, part community hub.

What makes it so loved? It’s not just the location. It’s the rhythm of daily life here — the way the baristas remember your order, the hum of the espresso machine, the way sunlight filters through in the morning, and the scent of house-made pastries wafting through the air. Ask anyone in the area, and they'll tell you Cafe 700 Portland is a daily ritual.

From espresso to eggs benedict – the menu that wins over every appetite

The menu at Cafe 700 covers every craving with ease. On weekdays, you’ll find busy professionals grabbing cold brew and avocado toast before heading into nearby offices. On weekends, the diner-style breakfasts take center stage — think buttery pancakes, smoked salmon bagels, or a loaded bacon and cheddar omelet that will have you skipping lunch.

Each dish is made to order, and you can taste the quality. The coffee beans are locally sourced, and their seasonal specials often include pastries that highlight Oregon’s best produce — marionberry muffins in the summer, apple-spice scones come fall.

Not to mention, the lunch options are equally comforting. The chicken pesto sandwich, served on warm ciabatta, and their take on the classic grilled cheese with tomato bisque are both must-tries. Even their vegan chili has its own fan club. Whether you're dining solo or in a group, there's something familiar but elevated in every bite.

A downtown location that keeps things convenient and welcoming

Located in the heart of the Lloyd District, Cafe 700 Portland sits between office buildings, hotels, and retail centers. That’s part of what makes it such a reliable go-to — it’s the kind of place that feels easy to reach but hard to leave.

There’s plenty of seating, both inside and out, with views of bustling NE Multnomah Street. On a clear day, the outdoor tables are a prime spot for people-watching while sipping a chai latte or munching on their popular breakfast burrito.

The team here keeps things efficient without losing the friendly touch. Whether you’re on a 15-minute break or have time to linger over brunch, service is quick, polite, and full of personality.

What diners are saying – honest reviews from real people

Word of mouth has done wonders for Cafe 700. Scan through online reviews, and you’ll find a chorus of happy customers praising not only the food but also the consistency and welcoming vibe. One reviewer raved about the “perfectly balanced cappuccino and surprisingly fluffy French toast,” while another mentioned how the “staff treat you like family — even when they’re slammed.”

There’s also something to be said about its unpretentious charm. It doesn’t try too hard, and that’s exactly why people keep coming back. It’s the spot you recommend to a friend visiting from out of town, knowing it will deliver every time.

Regulars often highlight specific dishes, like the turkey club with a side of crunchy house-made chips, or their matcha latte, which has a loyal fanbase of its own. You’ll even spot some reviews that mention bumping into coworkers, neighbors, or friends there — a testament to its local reach and appeal.
